We are servants of the RISEN CHRIST

As followers of the risen Christ, Jesus is central to everything we do at Grace. We praise, serve, share, and grow through the powerful truth that this ancient story remains relevant more than 2000 years later and transforms each of us in amazing ways. As a congregation that has been serving Elkhart for more than 140 years, we continue to redefine what it means to follow Jesus.  If you're new to Grace, we would love to get to know you better and share more of our story with you. If you'd like to know more information about our church feel free to email us at pastor@gracelutheranelkhart.org.

We are guided by the HOLY SPIRIT

Guided by the Holy Spirit, we exist not for ourselves, but for the sake of the communities where we live, play, work, worship, and learn.  Through Sunday morning worship that brings together the traditional elements of God's Word and the Sacrament of Holy Communion, open for all people, and preaching and playful learning that help us to see how God is changing our lives today.  We also have a Tuesday evening dinner and worship (we call it Faith is Fun Night) that connects to our immediate neighborhood and invites us into a time of multigenerational worship opportunities.

"We look inside, and what we see is that anyone united with the Messiah gets a fresh start, is created new. The old life is gone; a new life burgeons! Look at it! All this comes from the God who settled the relationship between us and him, and then called us to settle our relationships with each other. God put the world square with himself through the Messiah, giving the world a fresh start by offering forgiveness of sins. God has given us the task of telling everyone what he is doing. We’re Christ’s representatives."

2 Corinthians 5:17-20

We are created in the image of GOD

None of us are perfect, we all sin.  Yet, by the mysterious grace of God, we are made saints!  At Grace, you'll find a variety of people from a variety of different backgrounds, all walking together trying to rediscover who God is calling us to be and trying to see how we can live out our faith together.  None of us has all the answers and welcome you to journey with us too - especially if you feel like you might not have all the answers.

"Jesus said, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ The second is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”"

Mark 12:30-31

We share God's love with ALL PEOPLE

That's our mission statement and that's what we believe we are called to do.  We're not perfect and we're still trying to figure it all out.  But we know that God has plans for all of us.  We seek to help our community and do that in a variety of ways.  Click below to find more information about our various service opportunities and ways that we might be able to connect with you.
